What ingredients are in our playdough?
All of our playdough is homemade in small batches using the following ingredients
Flour
Salt
Cream of Tartar
Vegetable Oil
Food colorings
How do I store my playdough?
Our playdough is homemade and non-toxic with no artificial preservatives meaning it will not last forever. It will however, last 3+ months as long as it is stored in an airtight container or ziploc bag and out of extreme temperatures (heat or cold). Although not required our dough lasts longer when stored in the refrigerator.
If you leave your dough out and it begins to harden or crystalize, do not worry! Wrap in a damp paper towel and return to sealed bag or jar or kneed a 1/4 tsp of water and it will be back to its normal state
What to do with your kit or jar?
Our kits and jars can provide sensory learning play opportunities for your child. They can help develop fine motor skills, foster creativity and imagination, and provide screen free fun. When you receive your jar or kit, have your child take out the dough. They can roll it, knead it, squish it and make a base or shape for the added mix-ins. Let your child explore the different texture of the dough and the themed objects in their jar or kit. Make a scene, roll out different shapes, use the mix ins to let their imaginations run wild. Most importantly...HAVE FUN!
Who do you recommend these kits for?
Children primarily between the ages of 3-10 love to be creative with our products, but we also know a several adults and teens who love them too!! Children with anxiety and sensory processing dysfunction would also benefit from the sensory experience and play this product provides. Our kits and jars do contain small pieces and occasionally small balls which can be a choking hazard for children under age 3. Adult supervision is recommended.
